A million thank you's to those that fed, housed, made remedies for our colds, supported our shows, bought the tshirt... and for the oodles of hugs and love! Here are a few snapshots of the tour...
Rita & The Daydreamers’ namesake Rita Visser paired things down for a soft launch of her latest album “Northern Daydream’’ back in her homelands in the north this past summer. Songs like “Batchawana Bay” had their debut along the shores of the mighty Lake Superior.
Accompanying the Daydreamers was Niagara Falls Indie folk duo Electric Wildlife. With rich, soaring harmonies serving songs of lost love, travel, the honesty of human emotion and the absurdity of the world as they know it, the wilderness set the perfect stage for their sound and they made a great impact on new Northern fans.
Together, these bands joined to play as Minuscule, the brainchild of Juno-nominated songwriter Laurel Minnes, who harnesses the power of an all-female choir and an eclectic backing band to create a powerful new genre-bending form of pop music. Minuscule’s unforgettable live performances uplifted audience members’ hearts in the great North. Next year we already have a couple offers for cabin stays from some of our sweetest fans. We shall see what next summer brings...
